We Are Crashing Out.

AI is eating the economy. Politicians are captured. The wars don't stop. We see it. We name it. We wear it. Independent streetwear and a movement for everyone who's done pretending the future is fine.

This is not
a vibe.
It's a verdict.

"The systems that were supposed to protect us are either broken, captured, or being replaced by machines that don't know we exist."

We are a generation that was handed a planet on fire, a political class for sale, and an AI revolution that nobody voted for. The economy is a game rigged before we were born. The geopolitical map is being redrawn by force. And the machines are coming for the last thing we had — our work, our purpose, our sense of being useful.

Crashing Out is not nihilism. It's clarity. When you see the situation clearly — without the spin, without the optimism porn — you can finally start to respond honestly. That's where real resistance begins.

We make clothes for people who are done performing stability they don't feel. Wear what's real. Say what's true. Find the others.

01
AI is not neutral
The technology being built right now will restructure civilization. That restructuring has winners and losers, and the winners are not asking for your input.
02
Economic collapse is not a metaphor
Debt, automation, wage stagnation, and political failure compound each other. What's coming is not a recession. Prepare accordingly. Panic usefully.
03
Political capture is real
The institutions meant to govern technology and protect labor are thoroughly compromised. Voting alone won't fix what lobbying built over decades.
04
Clarity is resistance
Seeing the world accurately is the first act of defiance. Naming what's happening — without softening it — is how movements begin.
05
Community is the hedge
Against every force that atomizes us, we choose to show up for each other. The people around you are the only system that cannot be automated or captured.

What does “crashing out” mean?

In everyday slang, to crash out is to lose your composure — an outburst or a breakdown set off by pressure that finally exceeds what a person can absorb. We use it at a larger scale. The label describes a moment when the systems people were told to rely on — work, wages, institutions, the promise that the future gets better — stop holding, and the honest response is to say so out loud instead of performing a stability you don't feel.

Is Crashing Out a real clothing brand?

Yes. Crashing Out is an independent apparel label founded in 2025. Drop 001 is the first collection: nine pieces spanning tees, a cami, a hoodie, sweatpants, shorts, a cap and dog wear. It is also a movement and a newsletter — the clothing and the writing are the same argument in two formats.

What is in Drop 001?

A limited run of nine pieces: the Core Tee, the Signature Cami, the Signature Hoodie, the Signature Sweatpants, the Signature Shorts, the Signature Cap, and three dog tees. Everything is printed with the Crashing Out emblem in the drop's red, green, blue and white colourways.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free on orders over $80.

Who is behind Crashing Out, and who funds it?

Crashing Out is independent. There is no venture capital behind it and no corporate sponsors. It is funded entirely by the people who buy the clothes and read the Dispatch — which is why nothing on this site is written to keep an advertiser comfortable.

What is the Dispatch?

The Dispatch is the Crashing Out newsletter: reporting and analysis on AI-driven job displacement, political capture, debt and geopolitical risk, and what mutual aid actually looks like in practice. No sponsored content, no optimism porn. Subscribers also get early access to every drop — sign up below.

You're not overreacting.
